Ana Monica Chivulescu, MD, PhD fellow at Department of Cardiology, Oslo University Hospital, Rikshospitalet and University of Oslo
Ana Monica Chivulescu is a medical doctor and specialist in cardiology with special interest in cardiac imaging. She is certified in transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiography by the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging. She joined the Department of Cardiology, Rikshospitalet in 2017 when she started her research work on disease progression in arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy.
She was awarded with Oslo University Hospital Research prize for 2019 for her publication ``High penetrance and similar disease progression in probands and family members with arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy´´. She studies mitral valve prolapse in inheritable connective tissues disorders and arrhythmic risk in arrhythmogenic mitral valve prolapse syndrome as part of her PhD project. She works at the Department of Cardiac Ultrasound and at the Outpatient Clinic for Cardiogenetics at Rikshospitalet. Her main supervisor is Associated Professor Kristina Haugaa and her co-supervisor is Professor Thor Edvardsen.
